1. What is myGlobe Beta?
myGlobe is the information and downloads portal for Globe subscribers. It features the latest news on Globe's value-added services and promos. It also showcases a variety of mobile content - from wallpapers and ring tones to Java games and Symbian tools - which subscribers can readily download onto their mobile phone.
myGlobe Beta is the enhanced content download site having all the functions of the current site with a new interface and the addition of a new set of features. During the BETA phase you can still switch from the BETA version to the current version of the portal.
The new site can be accessed through 2 channels, Web and WAP/GPRS. For instructions or concerns on how to access myGlobe using your WAP-enabled phone, visit the Customer Service Portal.

2. What are the features of myGlobe Beta?

You will receive an SMS that you need to reply to to confirm your subscription. Once confirmed, you will receive weekly SMS alerts on What's New and Popular in myGlobe. |

WAP: myGlobe Beta will automatically detect the handset you are using to browse the site and then display only the list of content compatible to your handset
Web: To display the content that is compatible to your handset, you must select the model of the handset you are using from the dropdown list in the site.

3. How do I get started with myGlobe Beta?
To get started with myGlobe Beta you can do any of the following:
For Web, type http://portal.globe.com.ph and you will be taken directly to myGlobe Beta.
For WAP, type http://portal.globe.com.ph in your phone's WAP browser.

4. I’m already a registered user of myGlobe. Do I need to register again for myGlobe Beta?
There is no need to register again to access myGlobe BETA. Your existing user name and password will still be accepted in the new portal.

5. How do I register to myGlobe Beta?
Click on the Registration link located on the right-hand section of the site. myGlobe BETA uses the same registration page as the current myGlobe so if you create an account, your username and password will be accepted by both portals.

6. How can I get a username and password?
If you are a Postpaid or Prepaid Subscriber, you may register through myGlobe BETA’s online registration form and create your username and password there.
We strongly suggest that you indicate your mobile number when you register or when you edit your profile afterwards. Doing so allows you to access exclusive services such as myBill (which allows you to pay for your postpaid bills online), Downloads (for you to download mobile content from the Web) and G-Blogs (for you to post blogs, photos and video files onto your very own G-Blog site using your mobile phone).
myGlobe BETA uses the same registration page as the current myGlobe so if you create an account, your username and password will be accepted by both portals.

7. What will I do if my username is blocked?
Your username will be blocked after 10 unsuccessful log-in attempts. To use your account again, e-mail your concern to custhelp@globetel.com.ph with subject "unlock myGlobe account." A Globe Telecom Representative shall contact you through e-mail after your username is successfully unblocked.

8. How do I download content?
To download your chosen content:
a. You need to log in to myGlobe BETA Web using your myGlobe username and password. Also, make sure that your mobile phone number is added to your myGlobe profile.
b. After login, choose a category you would like to download from - categories are found at the left side of the myGlobe Web pages. Next, click on the Download tab of your chosen category - this should lead you to the Downloads subsection for that category.
c. Look for the content of your choice and click on Download. You should be able to receive a WAP Push on your handset. Click on the link in the WAP Push message and you should be lead to the WAP page where you can actually download your chosen content.
You can still download even if you are not registered in myGlobe BETA. Just browse through the content from the different categories and once you find the content you are looking for, click on Download. myGlobe BETA will prompt you enter your mobile number. You should be able to receive a WAP Push on your handset. Click on the link in the WAP Push message and you should be lead to the WAP page where you can actually download your chosen content.

9. Do I get charged when browsing for content?
No. You will not be charged from the time you look for downloads on the myGlobe BETA Web, up to the moment you access the link in the WAP push sent to you after choosing a mobile content. You only get charged when you click on the "buy" link on the page where the WAP push will lead you.

10. I clicked on the WAP Push but I can't seem to access the link properly. What's wrong?
Please make sure you have GPRS/WAP properly activated in your handset. Check if you have existing GPRS/WAP access points configured in your handset, then make sure to select myGlobe Connect.
If you do not see any Globe access point on your phone, you may text Go and send to 2951 to receive the configuration suitable for your unit. You may also visit the Customer Service Portal to know more.

11. Do I have to be a myGlobe member to download the content?
Yes. You also need to indicate your mobile phone number in your myGlobe user profile.

12. Can I preview audio content?
At this time, you may only preview image-oriented content such as wallpapers. We also provide screenshots for the game downloads. Preview for audio downloads such as ring tones and full songs will be available soon.

13. How will I know if the content that I will buy is compatible with the phone I am using?
The system should prompt you that the content you are trying to download is not compatible with your handset, before you actually download them.

14. If download was not successful, will I be charged for the content that I bought?
Once you clicked on "buy" to download content, you automatically get charged for it. In the event that the download was not successful, you may actually do a retry without being charged again, by clicking on the "retry download" link.
